unbodying supremacy, weaving connection: a six-month embodied journey

this six-month program is designed for white folks with european-american ancestry ready to unlearn and heal from the impacts of supremacy culture. led by amber arnold, em megas-russell, and lis newell, this transformative journey integrates somatic practices, ritual, and community care to release conditioned patterns of white supremacy, patriarchy, and other systems of oppression. through immersive weekends, virtual sessions, and peer support, you’ll gain embodied skills to navigate conflict, set boundaries, reclaim pleasure, and build self-trust. this program will help you create lasting transformation in how you relate to power, race, and identity, fostering deeper connection to yourself and your community.

unbodying supremacy, weaving connection facilitator Amber Skye arnold
  • Amber Arnold is a Black multiracial Black Womanist somatic and embodiment coach, ritualist, herbalist, sound healer, and artist. she is the founder of queen of belonging, a sacred space for reclaiming queen b energy, and the co-founder of susu community farm, a 37-acre afroindigenous farm located on unceded wabanaki lands. amber guides individuals back to their bodies through embodied questions, not answers, using ritual, vibration, movement, and flow to spark curiosity, play, and exploration. she helps people navigate what it means to find safety, dignity, and belonging in their bodies and communities, especially in these transformative times.

  • lis j. newell is a somatic trauma therapist and bodywork practitioner with over 25 years of experience helping individuals heal, transform, and grow through the overwhelming experiences they’ve endured. Specializing in trauma transformation (especially traumas stemming from misygyny/rape culture), group healing, and unbinding from the impacts of systemic oppression, lis uses a body-based, energetic, and neurobiological approach, along with meaningful rituals and herbalism, to help clients and group participants learn to trust and reclaim the inherent wisdom of their bodies. with a deep commitment to care and community, particularly the liberation of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ community, they create a space for anything and everything that is present within someone’s process to be respected. lis’ work is rooted in the belief that if we can heal together we can create futures void of supremacy and capitalism conditioning… futures of interdependence, joy, and freedom. more about lis here

em megas-russell facilitator unbodying supremacy
  • Em is a somatic psychotherapist, ritualist, and community weaver who is deeply committed to supporting individuals in unbinding from internalized oppression and the impacts of societal, ancestral, and personal trauma. With a focus on cultivating safety, trust, and aliveness, Em works to help clients access deeper intuition, pleasure, and connection in their lives and relationships. Guided by a vision of collective liberation, Em creates generative spaces for healing and belonging, integrating somatics, mindfulness, and social justice practices. Em is also passionate about creating inclusive, affirming spaces for people of all identities, and works with individuals of diverse backgrounds and experiences to foster liberation and transformation.

what if you could navigate the complexities of grief, rage, and the conditioning of whiteness without shutting down and turning away?

you care deeply about humanity, justice, and connection—but the weight of the world feels overwhelming. you want to show up fully in your work and relationships, but grief, rage, shame, and exhaustion keep getting in the way. You’re seeking a space to process, build resilience, and find an embodied path forward—but you don’t know where to turn.

if this resonates, you’re not alone. in unbodying supremacy, weaving connection, we offer a space for deep healing, skill-building, and community rooted in somatics, liberation, and belonging.

what past participants have to say

  • "extremely unique program. seriously I feel more transformed from this program than over 10 years of talk therapy.”

    -malka

  • “I feel like I have so much more awareness of the fish bowl. I am still swimming in these waters of racialized capitalism and supremacy conditioning, but there is a greater sense of space, the beginnings of the possibility of making a different choice, including choosing to be slow and gentle and forgiving. Dive full in. You are needed here. We are all needed. Get ready to feel more and have more access to the fullness of your being. What a gift and generous offering. Let the land hold you and call you back home. You are not alone. We are not meant to do this alone.”

    - kai

  • “What was most meaningful about my experience is doing this work in community with others! Allowing myself to be witnessed and held with others, while witnessing not being alone in the struggles that are clearly common with the human experience. Also being connected to the land at SUSU and being supported by the earth and all of the different elements. And last but absolutely not least the rituals were very powerful! I felt honored to be led in these rituals by the facilitators and to do them with the group together. One of my main takeaways from this group is that I need and want more group rituals in my life moving forward. In my life I have noticed being more compassionate and open with myself. Also honoring that this is another step on my journey and not the end, and but that more seeds have been planted and nourished through out this program. This group has highly impacted my life in ways that I know of, but also in ways that I haven't been aware of yet. I have noticed how I approach my work with my therapy clients has shifted, and the musing have entered into my work.”

    -kristi

  • “I'm more in touch with my anger, and yet also feeling more compassionate towards those that I can identify supremacy patterns in; I'm able to identify the patterns and my participation in them, and able to pause and break the pattern with compassion and mindfulness. Each session gave me more context for my experience out in the world, and gave me powerful tools and paradigms for being with and transmuting challenging experiences into generative relating. This is the work we need to be doing in order to collectively move towards liberation, healing, and community connection.”

    -Addison

this is for you if…

you feel the weight of oppression and long to engage in movement work but often feel overwhelmed or frozen.

you want to understand how your trauma history impacts your work, relationships, and presence in the world.

you experience oppression but also acknowledge your privilege and want space to unpack these complexities.

you struggle with conflict—shutting down, feeling flooded, or unsure how to build trust across differences.

you long to reclaim earth-based practices but aren’t sure how to do so with integrity.

you want to experience more joy and pleasure but often feel disconnected or overwhelmed.

you work with marginalized communities and want to align your values with your actions under pressure.

you’ve taken anti-oppression trainings but struggle to apply them in real life.

you feel everything deeply.

you’ve always been sensitive to the world around you—its beauty, its injustice, its weight. you care deeply about liberation, justice, and healing, but your emotions—grief, rage, shame, overwhelm—often feel like barriers instead of fuel. you want to show up fully, but something holds you back.

maybe you freeze in difficult conversations, your voice stuck. maybe burnout and withdrawal leave you unsure how to engage without losing yourself. maybe guilt about your lineage or privilege paralyzes you, unsure of how to act. maybe you long for connection but feel isolated, unsure if true belonging exists for you.

you are not alone.

we’ve been there before, and it’s exactly why we created this program. many of us struggle to bridge the gap between our values and our embodied experience. we take trainings, read books, attend workshops—yet, when the moment comes, when tension rises, our nervous systems take over. we freeze, we fawn, we fight, we flee. Our knowledge and good intentions disappear under pressure.

what if there was another way?

the unbodying method

through years of deep work in somatics, liberation, and community healing, we developed the UNBODYING method—a practice that unbinds us from supremacy-based conditioning and reconnects us to our innate wisdom, resilience, and capacity for connection.

UNBODYING is both disruptive and restorative—a process of unraveling the tensions, protections, and patterns that supremacy culture has forced onto our bodies. it’s about reclaiming presence, connection, and sovereignty so we can face personal and collective struggles with more power, integrity, and resilience.

how the UNBODYING method works:

  • we skillfully support you to uproot deeply conditioned patterns with embodied awareness, nervous system healing, and relational transformation.

  • we help you reconnect with your body to restore safety, self-trust, and agency.

  • we help you navigate power, conflict, and relational dynamics with integrity.

  • you reclaim your intuition, boundaries, and alignment with your values.

  • we teach you how to foster authentic connection, accountability, and interdependence.

  • we provide concrete strategies for nervous system regulation and relational repair.

  • we help you make deep, sustainable shifts in how you move, feel, and relate.

This isn’t another anti-racism training that stays in your head. This is an embodied process that reshapes your experience in real-time.

Are you ready to step into a new way of being… one rooted in presence, connection, and liberation?
