join us for #giveBlack

a powerful movement to fund our collective liberation

together we will build a liberated future.

welcome to the #giveBlack fundraiser! this campaign is designed to bring our commUNITY together and raise crucial funds for SUSU commUNITY Farm. by coming together, we are supporting a vision of liberation, resilience, and cultural affirmation.

SUSU commUNITY Farm afro-indigenous farm rooted in the Black womanist beliefs of our collective ancestors. we are committed to existing as a homemade field of love for people of the global majority to gather, heal, and thrive in safety, dignity, and belonging. we do this by practicing food and land sovereignty, offering land-based connections, and embodying ancestral healing.

together we are bringing multiracial commUNITY together to build sustainable relationships based in reciprocity. by supporting people in connecting back to their traditional lineages and food ways, being guided by the wisdom of our ancestors, centering global majority-led and peer-supported culturally relevant programming for adults and youth, we are building a healthy, resilient, and thriving culture in vermont and beyond. together we grow, dream, rest, celebrate, and heal as we work toward building a sustainable, climate-resilient ecosystem rooted in a  culture of liberation.

who we are

after almost four farming seasons, rich with incredible growth due to the blessings and support of our ancestors, family, friends, and YOU—our commUNITY—we have been able to purchase a sacred 37 acre farm in southern vermont. now we are setting up operations, hosting vital on land programming, and establishing much needed infrastructure to sustain our work and the vital impact we have in our commUNITY.

starting nearly from scratch and literally building from the ground up, we need your continued support to sustain the farm, build structures, purchase farm equipment, invest in farm and operational staff, and continue our free Box of Resilience CSA for global majority families in southern vermont.

our fundraiser begins on august 1st as we look to honor the freedom fighters, Black political prisoners, and revolutionaries of the movement for collective liberation. Black August holds profound significance in our lineages. it commemorates Black political prisoners, revolutionaries, and visionaries who continue to pave the way for justice and freedom. by ending our campaign on October 6th, Fannie Lou Hamer’s birthday, we honor her legacy as a loving mother and visionary for food and land sovereignty. through this practice of commUNITY resource sharing, together we will continue the legacies of our ancestors as we build liberated worlds.

we all have a role in establishing SUSU CommUNITY Farm as a thriving space of generative change. thank you for your vital contributions!
