  • seeds of our ancestors is an ancestral somatic herbal immersion

deeply rooted in the cosmologies of the dagara medicine wheel and the congo cosmogram and framed in the context of the four seasons of the temperate region of so-called north america, this program is an invitation to explore the interconnectedness and kinship we share with our ancestors and our plantcestors.

through this exploration we will work with plants to re-member how to heal ourselves and each other as we reclaim the spiritual technology of our ancestors.

this program is an affinity space for self-identified people of the Global Majority and investigates our relationship to and with plants through an AfroIndigenous lens. the in-person portion of this program will take place on the sacred lands that are home to SUSU commUNITY Farm.

our teachings reflect our lineage which begins with our AfroIndigenous ancestors, our bioregional plantcestors, and the Black communities we were raised in and continues with our current teachers and mentors which include elder mama lula christopher, manbo chèché fouyé, sade musa, empress karen rose, mama rue, mambo elizabeth ruth, obafemi origunwa, baba onígbọ̀nná and more.

this program has been closed for two seasons and we are preparing to open the gates in january of 2024.

if you would like us to share with you the official re-opening of the seeds of our ancestors portal, please fill out this brief form and you will be among the first to know more about the program and how to apply.

thank you for your interest, your investment of time and energy and for having the courage to follow the whispers of your ancestor down a path of healing that will echo through time to all those who came before you and all those who will come after you.
